Welcome to SGS – Swiss Society of Spinal Surgery
The Swiss Society for Spinal Surgery is the platform and organisation of Swiss spinal surgeons and serves the informal exchange of experience and knowledge in the field of spinal diseases and injuries, the development of recommendations and guidelines for treatment, as well as the promotion of spinal surgery and representation of its members. It represents the interests of spinal surgeons both nationally and internationally.
SPEARS | Swiss Platform for Spine Care, Education & Training
Definition
Open access platform to support education and specialization from basic to expert level. This folder is updated continuously and will be revised every year.
Target groups
- From young surgeons – to experts
- Sub-specialization
Goals
- Inform of options for Observer-ships, short- or long-term fellowships
- Facilitate access to courses and workshops based on skills labs
- Rise interest and lower the threshold to get involved in spine surgery for young surgeons by offering special conditions for SGS young members and spine residents
